The work involves the replacement of approximately 490 meters of 200 mm dia. watermain along 52 Avenue in two phases over two years.

Phase 1 – 2024

  • Supply and Installation of approx. 250 m of 200 mm dia. PVC Watermain via vertical trench
  • Remove and replace three hydrants and restore curb and gutter and sidewalk
  • Supply and install three gate valves
  • Five connections to existing steel watermain
  • Abandon existing steel watermain in place
  • Backfill and restore pavement structure

Phase 2 – 2025

  • Supply and Installation of approx. 20 m of 200 mm dia. PVC Watermain via vertical trench
  • Remove and replace one hydrant and restore curb and gutter and sidewalk
  • Supply and install two gate valves
  • Supply and install  one ea. 100 mm dia. valve via hot tap on steel watermain
  • Three connections to existing steel watermain
  • Abandon existing steel watermain in place
  • Backfill and restore pavement structure
