Bids will be received electronically by the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 through Bids and Tenders – Online Bidding System up to 2:00pm local time, June 28, 2021. Bids submitted after the online bidding system closing time will not be accepted by the online bidding system. The time as indicated by the declining time clock on the Online Bidding System shall be the official time for closing.

The Work involves:

Project A - Cell 4 Expansion

The Work includes the following general tasks:

Stripping the landfill cell footprint and common excavation

Earthworks related to the landfill development.

Construction of a compacted clay liner.

Supply and install geocomposite drainage layer. 

Construction of a leachate collection manhole and pump system.

Earthworks related to on-site drainage ditches.

Construction of leachate collection trenches and piping. 

Placement of the granular buffer layer. 

Restoration and placement of top soil in the disturbed areas and ditches.

Construction of access road and ramp.

Project B –Leachate Pond

The work includes the following general tasks:

Stripping the pond footprint and common excavation

Earthworks related to the pond development.

Supply and installation of a liner system including HDPE geomembrane, geotextile, drainage rock, and leak detection piping.

Technical inquiries by bidders are to be directed to the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 at Cell4@countygp.ab.ca. Inquiries will be received up to 4:30 pm five (5) working days before the bid closing date. Bids must be accompanied by the specified Bid Bond and Consent of Surety Company payable to County of Grande Prairie No. 1. The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.
